ABOUT US
Our Chapter
Our chapter membership includes general aviation pilots and professional pilots who fly for airlines, corporations, and government entities such as the military as well as student pilots, flight instructors. We come from varied backgrounds and of all ages. Thus, we are a varied group of women pilots with a wide range of skills and talents who love to fly.
The Emerald Angels of the Gulf Coast 99s Chapter was chartered on January 18, 2014. Members in our chapter come from the Gulf Coast areas between Biloxi, Mississippi to Tallahassee, Florida. Chapter meetings are open to all members and guests. Chapter meetings are typically held on the 2nd Saturday of the month. We meet at airports, restaurants, hangars, museums, and in member’s homes.
Our Section
We are a part of the Southeast Section of the Ninety-Nines Inc. Section meetings are held twice yearly in various rotating locations and are hosted by chapters within the section.
The Southeast Section was chartered January 1, 1930, and covers the states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Southeast Louisiana, Mississippi, North and South Carolina, and Tennessee. We are one of 26 sections in The Ninety-Nines, Inc., International Organization of Women Pilots.
Our International Organization
The Ninety-Nines Inc. ® is an international organization of women pilots from 40+ countries with thousands of members throughout the world. We are a non-profit, charitable membership corporation holding 501(c)(3) U.S. tax status with our international headquarters located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Ninety-Nines are professional pilots for airlines, industry and government, astronauts, and aviation performers. We are pilots who teach and pilots who fly for pleasure; we are pilots who are technicians and mechanics. But first and foremost, Ninety-Nines are women who love to fly!
The Ninety-Nines Inc.
The Ninety-Nines is a nonprofit, charitable membership corporation registered in the State of Delaware. The Ninety-Nines have become the recognized source of information regarding women in aviation. Researchers, authors, playwrights, historians and curators come to The Ninety-Nines for information available nowhere else.
